Easy Bake Edibles? Meet Ardent’s Decarboxylator!

My favorite thing to do while I’m home?

Eat a bunch of edibles! If I have to stay inside for now, I have to be surrounded by ALL the comfort food. Nothing hits the spot more than an especially special treat. *wink wink*

But with a shortage of supplies, inability to go out and a tedious preparation process, how can you get the goods? Decarboxylation anyone!? I definitely have the “carb” part down but I don’t know about the rest of it.

Luckily, with the right gear, you can make edibles right in your own kitchen, or even without one!

But before you get started, we’re here with the pros from Ardent to answer your top questions and debunk some myths to make the baking process a little less intimidating. From one of our latest Instagram polls, we got asked these questions the most when it comes to edibles!

How to make edibles the easy way?

Luckily, I can make my treats extra sweet and special courtesy of Ardent’s newest technology! The Nova FX can literally do it all when it comes to baking the best kind of goods. If you’re looking for the Easy Bake Oven of edibles, this is it. Ardent has a one-touch system that allows you to decarboxylate, infuse, melt and bake. They also have helpful videos on their website to walk you through its various uses! Honestly, it has made baking insanely more accessible to me.

With your Nova, you’ll be able to put your product directly into the device. Forgot all the pots, pans and other cooking utensils! Switch between modes with the “M” button and start the cycle using the “A” button. There are also separate settings for “bake” and “infuse.”

While I’m staying at home, Ardent has helped me have way more fun in the kitchen. I never thought I’d be able to cook my own treats! From butter to actual fully baked goods, the Nova FX has become to me what the crockpot is to my mother. Yeah - it’s that good.

What is decarboxylation and infusion?

Time to brush up on some new vocabulary. You’re about to become a culinary expert - we can do it, together! Decarboxylation is a process that ultimately enhances the bioavailability of your home-made coffee cake. Ardent’s Nova FX will fully activate your product without loss or degradation. You could even eat it right out of the decarboxylator!

Concentrates will also work in the decarboxylator, so get ready to put your favorite waxes, rosins, and budders to new use! This is perfect for people who are looking to turn their concentrates into a tasty snack, topical or tincture.

Infusion happens after the decarb process where you can put in butter, coconut oil or olive oil. The Nova FX can complete both of these processes and more! It can also melt for making butter and bake for tasty cakes and muffins right inside.

How do baked goods work?

A lot of people may prefer to use glass or papers in their sesh. Combustion leads to more immediate results. Who could blame them? But home-made treats can offer a longer lasting and more satisfying effect. When consumed, it gets digested and results in a different, more full-body feeling that can go for hours.

So - how long does it take for an edible to work? Because it has to metabolize, it can take 30-60 minutes or longer but different users report various results. The magic of edibles occurs in your liver where it’s transformed into a more potent version of itself and can cross the blood-brain barrier.

What if I eat too many edibles?

This is a great problem to have! Just kidding … lol. When experimenting with edibles, less is more! You can always add on but once you’ve started, it’s impossible to stop. Go slow, especially if you’re a beginner. Monitor how you feel after one to two hours and take more if needed.

But if you do find yourself feeling a little too good, don’t fret! Drink a full glass of water, find a cozy spot and turn on relaxing music or put on a distracting, good show. The feeling will go away and you’ll be as cool as a cucumber.

What is the best edible recipe?

Personally, I love to make butter and use it in a variety of recipes. I am a coffee fiend and have been eyeing the cold brew coffee recipe in Ardent’s recipe section! I’m also a huge fan of making chocolate-covered fruits at home! It’s so easy melting the chocolate into the infused oil inside the Nova FX to make creamy chocolate fondue. Perfect for dipping in pineapple, strawberries or whatever other treats you have around.

How can I make edibles at home?

Easy-peasy-Ardent-squeezy! Personally, I love cooking but am totally new to this world. Luckily, Adrent’s Nova FX makes it easy to not only dip your toes but take a full-on plunge into baked goods. Due to edibles inconsistent nature and stereotypical effects shown in movies and mainstream media, many people shy away. They’re intimidated by the complicated mystery dosings as well as lengthy and tedious process of preparation.

Head over to Ardent’s website and grab a Nova FX for yourself! Since we are good friends with the Ardent team, they let us give you $50 off your Easy Bake Ardent. Share what you make on Instagram by tagging @dailyhighclub and @ardentllc! We can’t wait to see all of your epic home-made creations.
