A nectar collector is a straw-style device that lets you dab concentrates directly using a heated tip, no rig required.
Heat the tip with a torch until it glows, then let it cool for a few seconds to a safe working temperature. Touch the heated tip directly to your concentrate and inhale through the mouthpiece as it vaporizes. There's no banger or bowl to load, just heat, touch, and pull.
Break the piece down into its parts and soak the tip and body separately in isopropyl alcohol. A cotton swab handles tight corners and the inside of the straw. Rinse thoroughly and let everything dry fully before your next session to keep the airflow clear and the flavor clean.
A nectar collector skips the torch-and-banger setup of a full dab rig entirely. Instead of loading concentrate into a heated banger, you touch a heated tip directly to the concentrate and pull through a straw. It's a faster, more portable way to dab, with fewer pieces to carry, heat, or clean.
Glass nectar collectors deliver a clean, unaffected flavor and are simple to maintain with regular cleaning. Electric versions swap the torch for a heating element, giving you more consistent temperature control without an open flame, which makes them a solid pick for indoor or on-the-go use.
A nectar collector is a straw-style device that lets you dab directly off your concentrate using a heated tip, rather than loading a banger like a traditional dab rig.
Heat the tip, let it cool briefly, then touch it to your concentrate while inhaling through the mouthpiece. The direct-contact method means no wasted concentrate sitting in a banger.
It depends on what you're after. Nectar collectors are more portable and use the direct-contact method for less waste, while dab rigs offer a bigger water-filtered hit. Many dabbers keep both on hand for different occasions.
Glass nectar collectors use a torch and deliver a clean, unaffected flavor. Electric versions swap the torch for a built-in heating element, trading a little flavor purity for consistent temperature control and no open flame.
They work differently rather than strictly better. Electric nectar collectors offer more consistent heat and added convenience, while glass and torch-based pieces tend to preserve flavor a bit more purely.
Break it into parts, soak the tip and body in isopropyl alcohol, and use a cotton swab for tight spots. Rinse and dry fully before your next use.
Remove the tip from the body. Soak metal or quartz tips in isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes. Use a pipe cleaner or cotton swab to remove residue. Rinse with warm water. Let dry completely. Clean after every 5-10 uses to maintain flavor.
